Julio came to America from Peru in 1997 and honed his craft in New York, working with a brick oven at a Brooklyn joint renowned for its authentic New York-style pies.
Today, Julio runs Aj Bambino Pizzeria offering a menu that goes beyond just pizza. While the offerengs include typical items like appetizers, dinners, hoagies, sandwiches gyros, and desserts, Julio emphasizes that quality is what sets them apart.

AJ Bambino Pizzeria is inspired by Julio’s son, Aidan Jauregui (AJ). Named in honor of his son, the pizzeria has received numerous accolades, including the Readers’ Choice Gold award for Best Pizza and Community award for best Pizza in Coraopolis and Moon.


Julio moved to Pittsburgh from New York to share his unique brand of Italian foods. With fourteen years in business, using a stone oven, and his son as his inspiration, Julio remains committed to bringing quality, tasty pizza to his customers.
